Hafslund signs long-term power contract with Hydro
Hafslund Kraft AS and Hydro Energi AS have signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) for an aggregated supply of 3.5 TWh in the period 2031 to 2040.
The contract secures an annual supply of 350 GWh over a 10-year period. The power from Hafslund will be delivered in Norwegian electricity price area NO3. The agreement does not include the delivery of Guarantees of Origin.
“Hafslund wants to be a long-term partner for Norwegian industry and facilitate market-relevant power contracts. This agreement with Hydro fits perfectly with our commitment to offer long-term power contracts and PPAs to industry,” says Håvard Hvarnes, Director of Power Markets at Hafslund Kraft.
