Hafslund has entered into a power supply agreement with Borregaard
Borregaard and Hafslund have entered into a new long-term power agreement for the period from 2025 to 2034. The annual contract volume is 88 GWh, which represents 10–15 per cent of Borregaard’s yearly consumption at the factory site in Sarpsborg.
- This agreement is part of Hafslund’s commitment to long-term power contracts and PPAs. As Norway’s second-largest power producer, we aim to be a partner for Norwegian industry and facilitate market-relevant power contracts, says Håvard Hvarnes, Director of the Power Market at Hafslund Kraft.
- This agreement will be part of our long-term power supply and is also important for our strategy for electrification and reduced greenhouse gas emissions, says Per A. Sørlie, CEO of Borregaard.
