Stakeholder dialogue

We work closely with many different stakeholders nationally and locally. It is important for us to have good relationships with everyone we work with, so that we can understand their needs, contribute to good solutions and safeguard Hafslund’s interests.

  1. Authorities and politicians

We provide authorities with knowledge and insight into how framework conditions affect investments in renewable energy such as hydropower, wind power, solar and district heating, as it is the authorities who determine the framework conditions in our industry.

  2. Nature

Nature is an important “silent stakeholder”. Data and input from environmental organizations and scientific sources help us understand and safeguard the state of nature, so that we can protect the nature associated with our facilities.

  3. Owners, capital markets and investors

We work well with our owner, the City of Oslo, and work together on topics such as sustainability and urban development. Several of our companies also have other owners, and the dialogue with them is mainly conducted by the company boards.

  4. Current and future employees

We are continuously working to have a visible and supportive leadership that maintains good dialogue across the entire group. We want to create a culture based on our values and an open and inclusive working environment.

  5. Landowners and local communities

Good dialogue with landowners and local communities is crucial for us, especially during development or upgrading of existing power plants.

  6. Customers and consumers

We ensure reliable delivery of energy and other services to our customers. We work to understand their needs and deliver according to expectations.

  7. Interest groups

We have a dialogue with various interest groups and seek cooperation and dialogue to exchange information and facilitate cross-learning.

  8. Our partners

Hafslund has a wide range of partnerships. We believe that collaboration makes us stronger, especially with partners who can do what we can’t.

  9. Suppliers

The dialogue with our suppliers is particularly about HSE, sustainability and delivery security, with strict requirements and ethical guidelines.

  10. Workers in the value chain

We engage with workers, unions and other stakeholders to understand and address challenges in the value chain.
