On Wednesday, November 4, a district heating pipe burst near Grønlandsleiret in the Grønland neighborhood of Oslo. The rupture released large amounts of hot water and steam into the area. The leak has now been stopped, and Hafslund is working to restore the district heating supply.
The incident was reported to the emergency services at around 17:15. The leak was stopped at 18:45. No injuries have been reported. Hafslund has crews on site and is excavating the affected area and carrying out repairs.
