This is us:

• We are an energy and infrastructure group with four core businesses: hydropower, wind power, district heating and carbon capture (CCS). Our nearly 1,000 employees work in these companies:
  • Hafslund AS The parent company consists of support functions such as economics and finance, sustainability, strategy, HR and HSE, communication and branding, business development and consulting. It also includes development initiatives such as solutions for emission-free construction sites, flexibility services, charging for heavy transport , and venture investments.
  • Hafslund Kraft We are Norway's second largest hydropower company. This part of the company also includes wind power plants and solar power plants.
  • Hafslund Celsio We are Norway's largest district heating supplier and are also responsible for district cooling, waste incineration and carbon capture. We are building one of Norway's largest climate measures, the carbon capture plant at Klemetsrud, which is due to be completed in 2029.
• We are located at several geographical locations in southern Norway with our head office at Skøyen in Oslo.
• We have 100% renewable power generation, and produce renewable energy from water, wind and sun.
• We have 130 years of history and experience. From our first water turbine in Sarpsborg, we have developed into a leading player in perpetual, renewable energy sources.
• We own and operate 83 hydropower plants of 21 TWh in four power plant areas; Aurland, Hallingdal and Valdres, Innlandet and Glomma.
• We supply district heating and cooling to 400,000 people at home or at work in Oslo. The district heating water runs for 700 km with district heating pipes under the city's streets, and is heated with surplus heat from Oslo's waste incineration plant, as well as at our 12 other heating centers around the city.
• We have started a large project to build a carbon capture plant at the waste incineration plant at Klemetsrud. This facility is scheduled to be completed in 2029.

We are concerned with:

• Understanding the entirety of the energy system and develop solutions for a balanced energy system.
• Setting the standard for the climate and nature considerations in the development of renewable energy.
• Utilizing hydropower even better, to develop wind power, to utilize energy from the sun and to utilize energy that would otherwise be lost. Everything with the greatest care for nature and everything around us. Nature, climate change and new energy production must go hand in hand.
• Making Oslo a greener city and contribute to Oslo reaching its climate goals.
• Being a developing and attractive workplace.
• Giving back to the community we are a part of. We are owned by the people through Oslo municipality and a number of other municipalities in Eastern Norway. We give back in the form of local value creation, jobs, taxes and fees, dividends (2.6 billion to Oslo municipality in 2024) and not least in the form of the development of new renewable energy.​​
